摘要: Abstract The present study was undertaken to evaluate whether the age of brood stock females Sparus aurata affects mobilization lipids from muscle and liver towards gonads aid in oocyte development. Taking into account role some hormones play lipid production 17β-estradiol (E2) testosterone (T) also measured throughout spawning season. Four groups fish were established consisting 3-, 4-, 5- 6-year-old (1.3, 1.5, 2.3 2.8 kg average weight, respectively), maintained separate tanks together with a number two-year-old males. results for all four showed no variations total length between beginning end experimental period. However, losses recorded both body weight condition factor. In general terms, there significant differences plasma levels E2, T gonadosomatic (GSI) hepatosomatic (HSI) index among groups, T, GSI HSI at their lowest spawning. Between December (pre-spawning) March (mid-spawning), suffered depletion content muscle, while gonad remained constant. contribute upkeep gonadal involved fatty acid saturates, monoenes, n − 6, − 3, − 3 HUFA. A good correlation existed percentage various transferred reproductive females. greater matching did not result reserves or size, suggesting that reproduction on part older requires effort. Despite this, as whole indicated lipogenic capacity, considered development oocytes, is unaffected by 3- gilthead seabream
