Studies of the inducibility of P450 1A in perch from the PCB-contaminated Lake Järnsjön in Sweden

摘要: Abstract Comparatively low levels of hepatic EROD activities were observed in feral perch caught Lake Jarnsjon, heavily contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) when compared to reference sites. On the other hand rainbow trout, caged exhibited elevated activities, P450 1A1 protein and CYP1A1 mRNA levels. The from PCB area non-responsive towards model 1A system inducers. These results suggest a possible pollutant-induced suppression or inactivation Jarnsjon.
