摘要: Background. The evolutionary consequences of love are so important that there must be some long-established biological process regulating it. Recent findings suggest the serotonin (5-HT) transporter might linked to both neuroticism and sexual behaviour as well obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). similarities between an overvalued idea, such typical subjects in early phase a relationship, obsession, prompted us explore possibility two conditions share alterations at level 5-HT transporter. Methods. Twenty who had recently (within previous 6 months) fallen love, 20 unmedicated OCD patients normal controls, were included study. was evaluated with specific binding 3 H-paroxetine ( H-Par) platelet membranes. Results. results showed density H-Par sites significantly lower than controls. Discussion. main finding present study is romantic relationship not different from terms transporter, which proved This would common neurochemical changes involving system, psychological dimensions shared by conditions, perhaps ideational level.
