Couples treatment issues for recovering male compulsive gamblers and their partners

摘要: Until recently, the couple relationship has been relatively neglected in both clinical reports and systematic research compulsive gambling literature. This article suggests need for family intergenerational assessment as well early interventions within system. The following treatment issues are discussed: multiple addictions; finances; control power; anger; sexuality; emotional intimacy. Overcoming deficits intimacy is viewed central to couples recovery.
