摘要: The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Earth Observing System (EOS) Terra Mission began to produce data in February 2000. EOS Aqua mission was launched successfully May 4,2002 with another MODIS it and "first light" observations occurred June 24,2002. is a sun-synchronous orbit going north south daylight portion of crossing equator at about 1030 hours local time. spacecraft operates approximately 1330 spacecraft, instrument, systems for both instruments are performing well producing wide variety products useful scientific applications studies relatively consistent fashion extending from November 2000 present. Within 40 products, several new represent powerful exciting capabilities such ability provide over globe fire occurrences, microphysical properties clouds sun-stimulated fluorescence phytoplankton surface waters ocean. remainder exceeds or, minimum, matches heritage sensors as, example, Advanced Very High Radiometer (AVHRR). Efforts underway sets greater science community improve access these various Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAAC's) or through Direct Broadcast (DB) stations.
