摘要: Purpose: Application of growth factors such as nerve factor (NGF) is sometimes used to regenerate and reconstruct neurons in diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), but requires close monitoring serum NGF. Here, we tested saliva patients with diabetes mellitus for NGF the basis a less-invasive method. Materials Methods: This case-control study was carried out on 82 (23 controls, 29 diabetics without 30 neuropathy) treated at Diabetic Research Center city Hamadan, Iran, each whom gave unstimulated samples. Salivary measured by EIA. The data were analyzed chi-square, t-test, Tukey non-parametric equivalent tests. Results: control group higher than (P = 0.048) 0.015). However, salivary two groups did not significantly vary 0.872). Conclusion: Variation may act helpful marker DPN.
