摘要: Simultaneous changes in sleep and body temperature, produced either by lesion or stimulation of the medial preoptic area (mPOA), have given reasons to suggest that thermoregulation regulation are controlled same set neurons. The for simultaneous these parameters discussed present paper with a view explaining relationship between regulation. Changes temperature on destruction (POA) neurons sequence changes, separate control mechanism mPOA temperature. Evidence is put forward show not involved downregulation upregulation alteration vigilance state. On other hand, circadian modulation possibly altering propensity. A clear indication regarding came from studies which noradrenergic agents were applied into animals without fibers projecting mPOA. Experiments was analyzed after experimental manipulations ambient including peripheral, core brain presented here close Various theories during slow wave rapid eye movement also discussed. functional integrity may be essential only sleep-wakefulness but even homeostatic energy balance response alterations environmental sleep-wakefulness.
