摘要: The movement patterns of free-living lynx, Lynx were studied by radiotelemetry in Bialowieza Primeval Forest, Poland. Eighteen lynx fitted with radio-collars and their Movements recorded continuous 24-hsequences daily relocations. On average, moved 7.2 km per day, males covered longer distances than females (9.0 6.8 km, respectively). In males, the 56% during mating season (January-March) rest year. Females 43% period intensive care for kittens (May-August) other periods. Males routes stayed far from location previous day. Females' movements more concentrated as they intensively but close to day's location. travelled an average speed 1.2 h - 1 moving faster (1.5 1.0 , even (on 1.9 ) season. During a day utilised area comprising only 1.7%-2.6% annual home range. ranges used rather low intensity (31 50 m route 2 range), still lower females. longest (14 on average) days when failed kill large prey, shortest ones (2.8 day-') first after making kill. results suggest that tend maximise reproductive success increasing opportunity meet receptive females, whereas increase via adjusting behaviour needs kittens.
