摘要: Aedes (Stegomyia) aegypti is a cosmopolitan species that transmits arbovirus of medical importance as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya. The main strategy employed for the control this mosquito use larvicidal agents. However, overuse synthetic chemical larvicides has led to an increase in resistant insects, making management difficult. Therefore, botanical insecticide-based nanosystems alternative agents Ae. gained more considerable attention last years, mainly due advantages nanostructured delivery systems, such (a) controlled release; (b) greater surface area; (c) improvement biological activity; (d) protection natural bioactive from environment thus achieving stability; (e) lipophilic drugs are easier dispersed even aqueous vehicles. This review summarizes current knowledge about against larvae. majority papers used metallic nanoparticles (NPs) agents, silver (AgNPs), showing potential their alternative, followed by nanoemulsions containing vegetable oils, most essential allow dispersion high hydrophobic product water, larval development. final section describes scientific findings mode action these NPs, gap subject literature.
