摘要: As the platform economy expands, little is known about entrepreneurial mobility for those creating new ventures using online platforms. Few studies have focused on entrepreneurs’ decisions to relocate. Entrepreneurs crowdfunding platforms, especially in arts and creative industries, present an interesting opportunity investigate factors influencing relocation decisions. Our analysis sheds light why creators relocate their projects, that explain destination choice, how differ by type of venture. To understand decisions, we build a pseudo-panel dataset track creator relocations largest reward-based (Kickstarter). The final consists over 25,000 instances where entrepreneurs within USA made Taken together, Kickstarter data thousands time, some whom opted move, reveals patterns who moved they went.
