摘要: Abstract Motilin, a 22-amino acid peptide synthesized in endocrine cells of intestinal mucosa, stimulates GI smooth muscle contractility. To elucidate the mode action motilin, we attempted to determine whether motilin receptors are localized on nerve or tract. Mucosa-free tissues from rabbit antrum and duodenum were homogenized separately with Polytron prior differential centrifugation obtain synaptosome plasma membrane-enriched fractions, as determined by distribution [ 3 H]saxitoxin (SAX) binding (neural membranes) 5′ nucleotidase (5′N) activity (smooth membranes). Motilin was evaluated displacement 125 I]motilin motilin(1–22) various membrane fractions. In antrum, highly correlated SAX ( r = 0.81, p 0.54, 0.67, −0.11, NS). Receptor affinity, for antagonist MOT(1–12)[CH 2 NH] 10–11 , motilin(1–22), agonist erythromycin lactobionate significantly
