摘要: Cortical interneurons are born in the proliferative zones of ganglionic eminences subpallium and migrate to developing cortex along well-defined tangential routes. The mechanisms regulating interneuron migration not completely understood. Here we examine role class-A members Eph/ephrin system directing interneurons. In situ hybridizations demonstrated that ephrin A3 is expressed striatum, an area strictly avoided by migrating cortical vivo, which express EphA4 receptor. We then examined grafting experiments, where explants medial eminence (MGE) from enhanced green fluorescent protein-expressing transgenic mice were homotopically grafted into host slices wild-type littermate embryos.
