The Impact of Seed Size and Aging on Physiological Performance of Lentil under Water Stress

摘要: Abstract A sub-sample of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik. cv. Kimia) seeds was kept as bulk (S1) and another sample separated to large (S2) small (S3) seeds. each size control or high vigor seed lot (A1) the two other sub-samples were artificially aged for 2 4 days (A2 A3, respectively). Field performance some physiological traits plants from these evaluated during 2011. Relative water content (RWC), ground cover grain yield per unit area significantly decreased with decreasing availability, but mean leaf temperature proline increased stress severed. Seed aging reduced RWC, MSI, consequently area. The superiority in increasing limitation. It was, therefore, concluded that planting may reduce deleterious effects on field lentil.
