摘要: Increasing global population and urbanization, coupled with rising standards of living have contributed to two the world’s most important challenges: a) increasing per capita energy consumption reliance on fossil fuels, b) waste generation. The UN prominently featured addressing these issues in goal numbers seven eleven, respectively, SDGs. Waste-to-Energy (WTE) technologies potential serve as a connecting link support successful pursuit goals. They can control urban wastes elevate necessary resource for production. This study reviews presents an appraisal fast-evolving WTE their harness SDGs number eleven. reveals illuminates apparent inherent due considerable flexibility they present ability utilize different forms feedstock. Environmental economic performance incineration steadily improved over years, making it pivotal pursuing Meanwhile, such gasification, anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis vastly expanded array products that are diverted from landfills generation purposes. While there is lot more room grow into mainstream terms production capabilities, without doubt investing elevating will drive towards achieving SDG
