摘要: The thermomechanical modification of hy- drogenated nitrile butadiene rubbers (HNBR) different molecular parameters was investigated by rheological and light scattering techniques. influences acrylonitrile content, degrees hydrogenation, Mooney viscosity were examined. A melt blender with Banbury-type mixing blades used to condition the rubber samples in temperature range from 190 260°C. Light determine effect conditioning on MW hydrodynamic radius molecules. Dynamic () storage modulus (G) measured for as-received conditioned samples. Experimental re- sults showed that degradation these occurred through chain scission crosslinking. Depending parameter, it found one two mechanisms dominated process most brands. Addition adequate amounts antioxidants (Ir- ganox 1010 Irgafos 168) successful only prevent- ing Compared thermal deg- radation, be much more severe progressed at higher rates. Rheology a very sensitive technique structural polymers could detect identify mechanism degradation. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 97: 1432-1441,
