摘要: A nucleoside analogue comprising the ligand 1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline (P) was applied to develop a molecular beacon capable of discriminating canonical nucleobases cytosine and thymine. The is based on formation stable Ag+-mediated base pair between P cytosine, whereas presence Ag+ strongly destabilizes nucleic acids an artificial Metal-mediated investigated by temperature-dependent UV spectroscopy CD complemented extensive DFT calculations. significantly extends application spectrum with metal-mediated pairs. It potential use in detection single-nucleotide polymorphisms.
