摘要: A theory of diffusion control within hollow fiber catalysts is derived for three different types coordinate geometries: Cartesian, cylindrical, and spherical. Effectiveness factors are calculated formulas reactant conversion in both a fixed-bed contimunuous-feed stirred-tank reactor derived. The apparent Michaelis constant, Km′, measure the amount catalysts. When Km′ equal to Km, true there no control. In all other cases greater than Km. Hollow fibers attractive alternatives spherical microcapsules encapsulation enzymes.
