摘要: Abstract Untreated extracts of z -gene nonsense mutants Escherichia coli were found to function as α-donors in a complementation reaction with XA21. In which are operator-proximal certain point (mutant AP2177), the α-donating material was fragment. region bounded by and including AP2177 NG521, contained two species polypeptides. One principle auto-α donor corresponded A second fragment, α U1 , molecular weight 46,000, functioned α-complementing untreated extracts. is minor component (~10%) total protein. operator-distal showed several peaks activity. these . most studied, donating activity found. The map position end coincides, nearly can be determined, π(β).
