摘要: In a randomized, single-blind, crossover clinical trial, the diuretic efficacy of same total dose furosemide (2 x 40 mg) administered in either conventional intravenous bolus injection or continuous infusion was studied 20 patients (nine males and 11 females), aged 37-75 years, with congestive heart failure. Furosemide infusion, first, produced significantly greater diuresis than when compared baseline (86%: 29.6%; p = 0.029). This followed by similar increase 24-h urinary sodium, potassium chloride excretion, no significant difference from effect. The following day, saluretic effects did not differ between study groups. Nevertheless, it volume, applied next day. Conversely, infusions were almost equal, regardless mode administration. It is concluded that treatment refractory edema failure, superior to intermittent injection, especially if at very beginning hospital treatment, presumably even better higher dosage longer time span.
