摘要: Abstract In this work, sea ice concentrations in the regions of Baffin Bay, Hudson Labrador Sea and Gulf St. Lawrence were estimated using a standalone regional configuration Los Alamos Model, CICE. A sensitivity analysis mixed layer depth criteria that affects predicted formation/ablation has been carried out to tune model. concentration from AMSR2 OSISAF, edge SSMIS/ASCAT surface temperature OISST AVHRR-only products then assimilated into tuned model combined optimal interpolation method. Extending previous studies, which used constant drag formulation their assimilation schemes, we use variable represent friction associated with effective roughness at ice–atmosphere ice–ocean interfaces. The coefficient is properties cover such as concentration, vertical extent area ridges, freeboard, floe draft, size floes melt ponds. new features include tracers estimate ridged ice, level ponds, sail height keel depth. estimates models are compared product Canadian Ice Service. results show updates provided through reasonable better than non-assimilated estimates. Finally, updated parameters area, volume thickness literature verify results.
