摘要: Studies conducted over the last 40 years have demonstrated that water output from dental unit waterlines (DUWLs) is often contaminated with high densities of microorganisms. It has been monitored microbiological quality in 30 public facilities northern Italy order to assess health risk for patients and staff. In each facility, samples both taps DUWLs were analyzed evaluate heterotrophic plate counts (HPCs) at 22 °C 36 °C, detect coliform bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Legionella pneumophila amoebae. 100% taken DUWLs, concentration HPCs was above threshold as determined by Ministere de la Sante et des Solidarites (2007). The P. aeruginosa greater than indicated 16.67% hand-pieces analyzed. A total 78.33% L. pneumophila, while alone, this percentage rose 86.67%. Amoebae detected 60% hand-pieces; all belonging species V. vermiformis. This study documented presence various microorganisms, including spp., considerably higher concentrations tap same facilities, confirming role internal increasing microbial contamination, especially absence proper management waterborne risks.
