摘要: Fractionated Plasma Separation and Adsorption (FPSA) is a novel nonbiologic detoxification system for the removal of protein-bound solutes. FPSA used to bridge patients during fulminant liver failure, either functional recovery or transplantation. Besides failure associated protein bound solutes, several important uremic retention solutes share binding. We observed repeated occlusive thrombosis arterio-venous conduit in hemodialysis (HD) patients, resulting acute loss function. A major reduction coagulation factors was demonstrated, exceeding 50% factor II, X C. Broad disturbances were confirmed treated patients. An ex vivo recirculation model demonstrated nonspecific adsorption S C on anion exchange cartridge. Direct contact between fractionated plasma Prometh02 exchanger causes significant procoagulant anti-coagulant factors, with clinically relevant adverse events.
