摘要: In the last decades, petroleum activities have in- creased in BrazilianAmazon where there is oil exploration on Urucu River, a tributary of Amazon about 600 km from city Manaus. Particularly, transportation via River to reach refinery Manaus may compromise integrity large floodplains that flank hundreds kilometers this major river. floodplains, plant growth and nutrient cycling are related flood pulse. When spills occur, floating onthe water surface dispersed through wind wave action littoral region, thus affecting vegetation terrestrial aquatic environments. If pollutants enter system, they absorbed by plants distributed food chain consumption, mortality, decomposition.
