摘要: Abstract To assess climatic changes in sea surface temperature (SST), the measurement method with time and effect of these on mean SST must be quantified. Observations from International Comprehensive Ocean–Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS) have been analyzed for period 1970 to 1997 using both metadata contained within dataset a World Meteorological Organization (WMO) catalog observing ships. The WMO were particularly important identifying engine-intake SSTs during 1970s, but increased identification over entire period.
