摘要: Purpose To describe a novel topographic curvature pattern, vertical D, which was present in some keratoconus suspects. This pattern detected retrospectively 2 patients who developed post-LASIK ectasia and prospectively 4 had other corneal abnormalities suggestive of keratoconus. Design Retrospective interventional case series prospective cross-sectional study. Participants After D patterns were noted (3 eyes) ectasia, 1168 consecutive potential refractive surgical candidates (2336 evaluated at center screened to detect this pattern. Methods Placido disc-based topography, ultrasound pachymetry, elevation-based Scheimpflug topography performed on these patients. Main Outcome Measures Corneal patterns, central keratometry, inferior–superior nasal–temporal ratios, skewed radial axis value, Humphrey Atlas PathFinder analysis, thickness, anterior posterior elevation. Results Four additional (7 with found (prevalence, 0.34%). In addition thickness 20 μm or positive results detection analyses. The 10 eyes the more horizontal (nasal–temporal ratio) than (inferior–superior asymmetry: 0.98±0.04 diopters versus 0.44±0.2 (paired t test, P Conclusions We propose that is reflecting asymmetry suspect even if standard analyses' negative.
