摘要: PURPOSE To survey the standard keratoconus grading scale (Pentacam®-derived Amsler-Krumeich stages) compared to corneal irregularity indices and best spectacle-corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA). PATIENTS AND METHODS Two-hundred twelve cases were evaluated for grading, anterior surface (measured by Pentacam imaging), subjective refraction CDVA). The correlations between CDVA, keratometry, Scheimpflug seven Pentacam-derived topometric - index of variance, vertical asymmetry, index, central height decentration, minimum radius curvature analyzed using paired two-tailed t-tests, coefficient determination (r(2)), trendline linearity. RESULTS average ± deviation CDVA (expressed decimally) was 0.626 0.244 all eyes (range 0.10-1.00). flat meridian keratometry (K1) 46.7 5.89 D; steep (K2) 51.05 6.59 D. variance decentration had strongest correlation with topographic (P < 0.001). correlated poorly severity. CONCLUSION It is reported here first time that may be most sensitive specific criteria in diagnosis, progression, surgical follow-up keratoconus. classification proposed herein present a novel benchmark clinical work future studies.
