摘要: Abstract While designing the ambitious advanced composites based on PAEK (50 wt%), glass fibers (30 wt %) and natural graphite (10 wt %), it was proposed to include one more solid lubricant from category of metal chalcogenides. Particles MoS2 WS2 in micron nano-sizes were selected for inclusion combination with graphite. The themes investigations were; which is better performer amongst WS2, nano-particles can impart beneficial effect or not; last how efficient would be these tribo-composites terms friction, wear resistance PVlimit values. characterized detail physical, mechanical, thermal tribological performance. proved till moderate PV conditions but not severe as compared MoS2. excellent tribo-materials low friction (∼0.04), rate (2.2 × 10−16 MPa m/s) PVsafe values (84 MPa m/s). chemistry counterface surface studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) Raman (RS) while morphology worn pins observed a 3D profilometer scanning electron microscopy.
