摘要: Abstract Broadband UV-irradiation of methylacetate isolated in argon matrices causes rather strong modifications to appear the IR spectrum. Evidence was obtained for a photochemical interconversion stable Z-conformer into less E-conformer followed by photolytic decomposition latter products. Most these products could be identified from their absorptions. The reverse E→Z is thermal process with an activation energy about 10 kJmole−1. A normal coordinate analysis based on transferable valence force field literature allowed assign approximate frequencies E-methylacetate.
