Assessment of Sustainable Socioeconomic Development in European Union Countries

摘要: There are still debates in the scientific literature about factors influencing countries’ sustainable socioeconomic development. Therefore, current article aims at determining of development and assessing its level EU countries. The following methods were employed for research: an evaluation based on distance from average solution (EDAS) hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA). EDAS was used to reveal which countries have highest development, lowest. ranking done appraisal score, is outcome EDAS. Hierarchical (HCA) clustering scores order distinguish groups having a similar results revealed that Germany, lowest Portugal. Based HCA, divided into three groups. first cluster’s weakest assigned third best. In research, consists one country, supports obtained with method, i.e., Germany country EU.
