摘要: Tendon injury is a known complication of distal radius fracture plate and screw fixation. Targeted musculoskeletal sonography uniquely capable assessing both tendon integrity hardware abnormalities not recognized on radiographs. Each the 3 patients described presented with pain after an open reduction-internal fixation following forearm fracture. In each patient, radiographic findings, specifically position, were interpreted as normal. Important radiographically occult observations subsequently made sonography, including proud screws injuries, all which required surgical treatment. This case series demonstrates clinical utility in symptomatic negative findings. our practice, has been most useful modality for precluding missing or delaying diagnosis treatment these complications. We advocate its use adjunct any department performing imaging.
