摘要: There are limited options to patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) who not satisfied acid suppression therapy. Fundoplication, the standard surgical procedure for GERD, is effective but associated adverse side effects and has thus been performed less frequently, creating a need alternative interventions that effective, yet invasive reversible. Lately, two such were developed: magnetic sphincter augmentation electrical stimulation of lower esophageal sphincter. Human studies describing safety efficacy over follow-up period number years have published, documenting these interventions. Future should clarify role procedures in spectrum GERD
