摘要: Background and Aims:  A pH of more than 6 is required for clot stability hemostasis. Intravenous proton pump inhibitors have a rapid onset action compared to oral been preferred management non-variceal bleeding. pantoprazole has used extensively. Buffered esomeprazole (BE) an preparation consisting inner core non-enteric-coated with shell sodium bicarbonate. The buffer protects against acid degradation in addition immediate antacid action. aim this study was assess the efficacy BE raising maintaining intragastric comparison i.v. equivalent dosing. Methods:  randomized two-way cross-over conducted. Ten healthy volunteers were twice daily 40 mg or bolus. Intragastric measured wireless radiotelemetry capsule (Bravo, Medtronic). 2-week washout period given between doses. Results:  achieved steady median time 2 min (range 1–5 min) after first dose. mean % that 6.0 96%, 90% 24-h (47% 18%), P = 0.000. (interquartile range) group 6.2 (6.175–6.2) which higher 4.60 (4.5–5.0) (P = 0.005). Conclusion:  achieves maintains within minutes administration. It significantly superior dosing. This finding could implications bleed where sustained desirable.
