摘要: Cluster investigations has been an important tool of diseases. While clustering diseases or a manifestation in community can cause great public alarm similar unexplained hospital admissions baffled clinicians. (a) To determine whether perceived and manifestations among is real significant. (b) look for possible explanations such clustering. One-year prospective observational two-year retrospective study. Cases admitted under pediatric neonatal services (excluding rooming babies) from September 2002 to August 2003 formed cases 2 years prior Whenever cluster disease/manifestation was case definition recorded. Retrospective analysis done some significant clusters detected prospectively. These rate were analyzed relation age sex climatic conditions etiology etc. detect any correlation. Person correlation coefficient chi-square test centroid method Z proportion used statistical significance. Eight 3 (hyperbilirubinemia exchange range hypocalcemic seizures vesicoureteric reflux) proved statistically not small uncommon / (biliary atresia cardiomyopathy acral gangrene). Two large major non-traumatic bleeding (MNTBM) acute renal failure (ARF) occurred which study extended. T max min (average maximum minimum daily temperature) had significantly positive with ARF ( = +0.83. P <0.001for =+0.56 =0.002 min) negative MNTBM =-0.34 0.040 -0.59 <0.001 min). Barometric pressure respectively =+0.57 -0.45 0.006 ARF). The also correlations female 1 year (Z=2.48 x2=13.83 P<0.001for Z=3.11 P<0.001 x=10.85 respectively). Three subgroup (subcutaneous nodules as disorders) predominantly one different sexes involved. Several noted admissions. There sex. Larger longer multicentric studies geographical areas are required investigate more plausible but complex biological phenomenon associations related manifestations. awareness diagnostic management implications clinician it helps early recognition disease outbreak dissemination information staff be prepared handle increased number its treatment. authors)
