摘要: Abstract Quasistatic cracking entails a time rate of increase crack area A such that generation kinetic energy in the structure is negligible compared with work cracking. For splitting beam like structure, limit quasistatic concept corresponds to length about one thousandth velocity longitudinal wave material. Continuous called stable, and when achieved, fracture toughness (R) may be found experimentally by method Gurney Hunt. Variation R then within limits concept.
