摘要: Background Staphylococcus aureus and S. pseudintermedius are the two most common coagulase positive staphylococci (CPS). is more prevalent among humans, whereas commonly isolated from dogs, however, both can cause various community hospital acquired diseases in humans. Methods In current study we screened 102 dogs 84 owners Hungary. We tested antibiotic susceptibility of strains order to get a better picture clonal relationship strains, used pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. addition, three pairs isolates with identical PFGE patterns were whole genome sequenced, MLST spa types established. Results Carriage rate was 23.8% humans 4.9% cases co-carriage found owners. carriage 2.4% 34.3%, respectively, only one co-carriage. The generally rather susceptible antibiotics, but high tetracycline resistance noted. co-carried shared almost same genes (including tet(K), bla(Z), norA, mepR, lmrS, fosB) virulence gene pattern. Apart staphylococcal enzymes cytotoxins, enterotoxins exfoliative toxins as well. belonged ST45-t630, ST45-t671 ST15-t084, respectively. housekeeping alleles determining novel sequence type ST1685. Conclusions Based on genomic data, dog-owner displayed insignificant differences therefore provided evidence for potential human-to-dog dog-to-human transmission.
