摘要: Abstract Contact zone thermal models of the grinding process are an important tool for proper selection parameters to minimize workpiece damage while improving efficiency. Validating contact with experimental measurements is difficult due high-speed and stochastic nature process. In this work infrared imaging system used validate two numerical models, which then compared established analytical model. The consist a shallow model deep model, where takes angle into account does not. results show that at small depths cut both perform well; however, as depth increased models’ accuracy increases increase in may be result 2D solution 1D Additionally, it was found has very little effect on temperatures. This also reinforces Rowe's work, using results, indicated temperatures reduced by higher Peclet numbers given material removal rate.
