摘要: Abstract The settlement of promiscuous males on sites where they are most likely to encounter females was examined by computer simulation. study extended an earlier model Parker (1978) , which dealt with male environmentally fixed mating sites, include populations mobile who can mate at any point in their home ranges. Males the simulations were expected settle high levels female traffic (hotspots) and correct for sharing between adjacent sites. As a results, became clustered into fewer more compact aggregations as range size increased. Increasing density or allowing despotically instead free manner had opposite effect. same results found both bounded unbounded surfaces, although there increased aggregation centre surfaces may be relevant diversity dispersions seen lek swarm animals.
