摘要: Abstract From July 1995 to November 1996, multi-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa O11 was isolated from 36 patients admitted a neurosurgery intensive care unit. The strain resistant ticarcillin, ceftazidime, imipenem, gentamicin and ciprofloxacin, susceptible amikacin. Nine were colonized only; the remaining 27 had at least one infected site (17 urinary infections, 10 pneumonias four with sinusitis). P. same resistance pattern tap water. also cultured enteral nutrition solutions given two patients. DNA macrorestriction analysis Xba I established similarity of isolates patients, water solutions. outbreak controlled after reinforcement isolation procedures for changing mode enterai replacement all sinks in presumably main source during this outbreak, via hands nursing staff or contaminated
