摘要: AbstractObjective: To evaluate the effect of gamma irradiation onglutaraldehyde-fixed bovine pericardium. Method: Glutaraldehyde-fixed pericardium wasexposed to radiation (doses from 0 10000 Gy). Sixsamples each nine groups were evaluated by opticmicroscopy, and shrinking mechanical tests thedenaturation temperature was determined. Additionally, theywere subcutaneously implanted in rats after four monthsthey explanted Ca 2+ levels measured atomicabsorption spectroscopy. Results: The (in µg/mg): control (0 Gy) -194.45; 50 Gy - 154.64; 100 169.37; 200 163.64; 500Gy 199.89; 1000 184.02; 2000 198.95; 5000 -227.95; 362.62.
