摘要: A total of 1,159 Tiris half-duplex passive injectable transponders (PIT) 32-mm length were used to study the electronic identification 618 fattening lambs two breeds for different production purposes (Ripollesa, meat breed, n = 271, and Manchega, dairy 347). The s.c. injected in armpit retro-auricular positions at 2, 15, 30 d age. All also tagged with a small plastic ear tag after birth. group 76 only right kept breeding. PIT losses, breakages, failures evaluated weekly weight recordings throughout period using types hand-held transceivers. Fattened harvested commercial abattoir between 3 4 mo age when they reached market (11 12 kg hot carcass weight). number that fell or broke slaughtering line, location method, recovery time recorded. On farm losses not affected (P > 0.05) by injection, injection position, breed. Mean tags during same 5% 6.3%, respectively 0.05). No breakages observed period. (85.6%) was age, thus allowing harvesting speed 200 lambs/h on average. In conclusion, into region is recommended as practice lambs, even though perform similarly tags. This partly consequence but mainly because difficulties recovering abattoir. More research will determine whether use smaller other could improve their performance lambs.
