Marking transgenic Xenopus froglets with passive micro transponders.

摘要: Standard methods to mark Xenopus laevis individuals like tattooing or clipping toenails are inappropriate for the fast growing and regenerating small froglets previously used transponders too large. In this study we successfully adapted micro tag these animals. Using new one can now directly after metamorphosis, which has not been possible previously. This technique makes breeding of transgenic frogs most efficient, because do have be kept separately they grow much faster when together in large containers.
