摘要: Abstract Using a pin-on-disc testing machine, the authors investigated start up and steady state friction of highly polished alumina against itself studied factors affecting friction. The lubricants used in this paper were 1 wt.% water solution carboxymethyl cellulose sodium salt (CMC-Na solution) distilled water. It is observed that many factors, such as lubricants, load, sliding velocity, resting time acceleration etc., have an influence on alumina.against alumina. experimental results indicate coefficients when CMC-Na lubricant are much smaller than us used, it possible alumina-on-alumina hip joints may enjoy full fluid film lubrication with good machining, fit proper lubricant.
