摘要: ObjectiveThe expression level of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) is increased in atherosclerotic regions, inducing migration to the blood vessel wall. Although serum MCP-1 concentration higher patients with than without cardiovascular disease, precise correlations between and factors associated smoking atherosclerosis are unknown.MethodsThe was measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay 207 consecutive smokers who visited our cessation clinic.ResultsSex-adjusted analysis revealed that positively correlated age (β = 0.311), duration (β = 0.342), systolic pressure (β = 0.225), diastolic (β = 0.137) but not body mass index.
