Hirsutane sesquiterpenoids from the marine-derived fungus Chondrostereum sp.

摘要: A new hirsutane sesquiterpenoid, hirsutanol E (1), together with the known compounds (2) and F (3; gloeosteretriol) were obtained from AcOEt extract of marine fungus Chondrostereum sp., which was isolated soft coral Sarcophyton tortuosum. The structures elucidated mainly on basis NMR, MS, X-ray single-crystal diffraction data. Hirsutanol exhibited potent cytotoxic activities against various cancer cell lines.
