摘要: Illegal logging is a major problem in the forestry sector, and legislation to combat it has recently been introduced both United States European Union (EU) – two of world's largest importers timber. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) timber industry have urged governments use trade incentives control illegalities, this instrumental development these laws. The Lacey Act, an American conservation law revised 2008 include illegal timber, requires businesses demonstrate that their purchasing policies mechanisms effectively avoid sourcing from sources.
