摘要: Summary This work was aimed at assessing the relationship between testicular ascent and infertility induced by genitofemoral nerve (GFN) section in rats. Eighteen male rats were assigned to three experimental groups as follows: (i) Group SGFN subjected surgical of nerve; (ii) Sham; (iii) Control group. The GFN cut puberty (28D), contralateral testis removed 90D, with fertility tests 120D. At 150D, maturity index, epithelial area histopathological index seminiferous tubules all determined statistically compared superior inferior testicle poles, groups. There no differences parameters, sperm morphology or concentrations (P > 0.05). Section NGF interfered (58.3 ± 15.4 versus 83.3 ± 10.5 Sham) litter size (6.2 ± 1.1 10.7 ± 1.4 Sham). Cremaster group showed early neuropathy. partial diminished without damage on spermatic because, cremaster could affect contractibility ejaculation mechanisms which it participates. study an injury have overview inherent this iatrogenic alteration their potential risks fertility.
