摘要: Early life exposure to arsenic has profound effect towards development of induced toxic outcomes. Some districts in the state West Bengal, India are highly affected by arsenic, mainly through ground water. In children, not much outcomes like dermatological lesions observed but it is thought that leads transient alteration their biological processes various deleterious health effects later on. We evaluated global methylation status analyzing LINE-1 profile children from exposed region between age group 5–15 years along with cytogenetic stress as measured lymphocyte micronucleus (MN) frequency. A total 52 and 32 unexposed were analyzed. Whole blood DNA was used measure qRT-MSP. found a significant association MN-frequency individuals depleted compared near baseline (which comparable control) index well those hypermethylated promoters. From our results, we interpret may serve potent epigenetic mark detect degree genotoxicity at very early age. propose this be utilized determine extent influence exerted
