Study on phase diagram of Bi2O3SiO2 system for Bridgman growth of Bi4Si3O12 single crystal

摘要: Abstract Phase relation of Bi 2 O 3 SiO system was evaluated experimentally from DTA and XRD measurements its stable metastable phase diagrams were proposed. Although BSO melts near-congruently at 1025°C in the equilibrium, melt crystallizes to form SiO 5 accordance with diagram while cooling. Therefore, couldn't nucleate crystallize spontaneously without crystal seed only crystallized about 850°C significant supercooling during Bridgman growth. single 20×20×100mm grown a vertical furnace according diagram. The measuring results scintillation properties specimen show that decay constant is 91 ns (about 1/3 BGO) light output 23% BGO.
