摘要: The mechanisms of pain causation in fibromyalgia (FMS) and chronic shoulder/neck (SNP) are still debated. We wanted to compare muscle activity development during after low-grade mental stress FMS SNP patients. Twenty-three women with FMS, 29 35 healthy performed a stressful task lasting 60 min followed by 30 recovery period. recorded surface electromyography over the trapezius, neck, temporalis frontalis muscles. Subjects reported their at corresponding locations together fatigue perceived tension. Significant differences between groups were not observed either for muscular or subjective responses. patients controls responded more trapezius neck regions than forehead, contrast who had generalized response. Development pain, tension was related any group. conclude that have similar electromyographic results suggest pathophysiological involved although responses generalised Muscular did explain which developed Pain lasted longer both compared controls, possibly result disease-related sensitisation pathways.
