摘要: In the two decades since its original discovery, p53 has found a singularly prominent place in our understanding of human cancer. Although biochemistry been worked out some detail, knowledge biologic consequences dysfunction is still quite rudimentary. Over next several years, it will be important to determine how best harness complex properties p53's ability induce cellular growth arrest and cell death generate novel, effective approaches cancer therapy. Furthermore, clearer appreciation direct interaction epigenetic factors with lead development strategies inhibit tumour initiation progression. The decade promises offer exciting opportunities apply vast this intriguing tumor suppressor clinical advantage.
